Elegant, delicate and very very sexy When the duo named Gender was born in 2002 the goals were clear and the ambitions high; to produce well defined electro pop and to perform it right. Johan Friman and Jesper Henke are the childhood friends that went out on a journey and ended up as monuments of their own splendour. They explain it like this: "Although our goal might not be as radical as creating an altogether genderless society, we found that our music sees no frontiers, and that we can use it to enhance our possibilities as human beings." The distinct sound of Gender is recognized by Jesper's powerful vocals and the exciting production, where each song is filled with little bits and pieces of the world we live in, with something new to discover every time you hear it. On the Electric Fantastic Sound label Gender has released two original singles with some very impressive videos for "The Stranger" and "If I Was A Girl" - and a retrospective album with reworked versions of their earlier material. The band continues to push forward the frontiers for what is musically possible and their stage shows leaves no one unimpressed!
