The cornerstone and the foundation The band now known as Diskodiktator was formed as FKK Jugend back in 1996 when Johan released a demo tape at Arvikafestivalen - a collection of songs written and recorded in less than a week. Entitled "Music For Porno" the cassette sold some 450 copies (most likely because of Johan being a member of S.P.O.C.K rather than the actual quality of the demo). The name was changed to Diskodiktator in 1999 and the first debut album was released by the band themselves in 2002. Later on Swedish Energy Rekords took on the band and released the second debut album in December 2004 that got the band nominated as Best Newcomer in the 2005 Scandinavian Alternative Music Awards. Several more or less official remixes have been done for bands from Swedish space age guru DiLeva to Gwen Stefani and 50 Cent as well as local electro acts as Lowe and Blunda.
