The label now known as Electric Fantastic Sound was originally founded as J-Axel Industrial Art & Intriör Unltd way back in 1991 - an alternative output for demos and cassettes with acts like Klas Knastermus, Genetic Stress DI-source and others. The bands are long forgotten but the music remains in the vaults of today, and every now and then a historic gem is released.

The label changed over time and in the summer of 1998 the first web site was released with an idea to release and distribute music online. Other sites like Napster and mp3.com entered the scene and Diskodiktator.com became an "ordinary" homepage for the band with the same name.

In the hot summer of 2005 Electric Fantastic Sound was born with the release of the six track CD "Electric Fantastic Sound No.1 2005", a collection of songs by Diskodiktator, Topgun and Basswood Dollies - the first three bands on the label.

From there things escalated in a very pleasant way; in late 2005 a deal was set up with Klicktrack, a Swedish online music store, and in the first year as a truly digital label, 2006, the number of releases exceeded 30 with singles, EP's and full length albums!

The mission is still the same as back in the early 1990's: to release and promote alternative music in the electronic fields by the means of alternative media and distribution systems, such as the internet.
